What is Algorithmic Bias and Why Does it Affect Us?
In simple terms, algorithmic bias occurs when an artificial intelligence system or algorithm produces unfair, discriminatory, or biased results due to incorrect assumptions in the learning process or in the data on which it was trained. We think of algorithms as diligent students: they learn exactly what they are taught.
